My Story

Hey, I'm Monica! As a lifelong lover of art and color, I always knew I was destined for the world of makeup. My introduction to cosmetics began as a young girl, by watching the women in my life utilize cosmetics to bring forth a more powerful version of themselves. This inspired me to look deeper into the world of makeup and explore what the power of beauty can bring forth within us all.

Like many of my contemporaries, my preparation for the field of beauty started with YouTube.

Seeing so many young professionals start their careers in beauty while sharing their tips gave me the confidence to start my makeup journey. I began by doing makeup on friends and family as a young teen and eventually started doing it for special events. By the time I was in high school, I had successfully built a small clientele and knew that makeup was more than just a passion; it was my future career!

Freelancing in my early years taught me that I had the driving force for a professional career in makeup. I made my profession official in 2017 by obtaining my cosmetology license. In this time, I explored the different avenues of the field by competing in professional makeup competitions, exploring the world of film, and runway.

In addition to professional freelancing, I have worked at just about every cosmetics counter you can name! Through these jobs, I gained a great deal of product knowledge and learned about the brands that make it all possible. I picked up on the skills needed to effectively teach a client about their skin, hair, and makeup needs but ultimately, the importance of great customer service. I believe that every individual should be met with kindness and led to their ideal goals with respect.

As a woman who comes from a diverse background, I find it important to work with a clientele that is as diverse and unique as myself. I pride myself on knowing that I work with clients of all ages, colors, skin types, and backgrounds.

The truth is, I genuinely enjoy my time with every client but even more so... witnessing their visions of beauty fulfilled.

For me, makeup isn't just a job; it's my passion. I thrive on the relationships I build with my clients and the inspiration I get from fellow artists. My dream is simple: to keep doing what I love, learning, and growing every step of the way.
